The Little Boy

This is the Little Boy. The little boy with the blonde hair and the curls and the blue eyes. The little boy that doesn't look like the rest of our family. My sweet boy who gives kisses, "Mama I kiss you", with complete abandon and then will bounce a baseball off your forehead.

My little boy will also most likely be getting glasses in a couple of weeks because his right eye turns inward. Do you see it? Oh his eyes...they're a piercing blue-grey color, like daddy's.

Last week was the first week of school for The Boy...It's another post in its own right. So I'll save that little diddy for another time. We walked him up to the bus stop and wouldn't ya know it, another mom asked The Boy if the Little Boy was his brother. I saw one of the ladies from the bus stop at the school cafeteria when I was having lunch with Cole and she asked me, "Is the little one in the stroller yours?"
"Why yes, he is"
"Where's he get the blonde hair from?"
"Clairol"
For the record, I do not dye my son's hair and I do not encourage anyone to dye their children's hair or use Crest Whitestrips on their 2 year old. I'm just sayin'.

I've been trying to think of other things to say, any ideas? I love it when I get asked, "Did you or your husband have blonde hair? "
"You mean as opposed to the current color I'm sporting now. Is this not a good look for me, should I go back to my roots? I know, I know, it's all about me, me, me."
Or, the ever so popular, "Does your husband have (insert blue eyes or blonde hair. Or if you're feeling particularly daring go with both)?"
"He's currently touting the more distinguished look of brown hair and it's a toss up with his eye color because he wears his sunglasses at night,
so I can, so I can
Watch you weave
Then breathe your story lines
And I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can, so I can
Keep track of the visions in my eyes"

So I really don't know.

Ok seriously, doesn't his picture melt your heart? And he really is my baby. He's in that big belly.
